Nokia Asha 305 and Asha 311 India launch confirmed for August 12

The Nokia Asha 305 and Asha 311 India launch has been affirmed to fall on the 12th of this month with a price tag of Rs. 5,029 and Rs. 7,139, respectively. The company has teamed up with EA Games to deliver 40 free downloadable titles including Tetris, Bejeweled and Fifa 2012 for these touch-enabled devices.

A 3-inch WQVGA resistive display dominates the front panel of the Asha 305 handset. Users will be able to slip in two SIM cards from different service providers as it is dual SIM-enabled. Apart from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the device is pre-loaded with Nokia Maps and the company’s new web browser that’s said to reduce data costs. Snap-happy users can capture images with the help of the 2MP camera.

Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India, remarked, “The Nokia Asha family has received tremendous consumer response.

Next up is the Asha 311 that’s powered by a 1GHz processor. Unlike the above mentioned device, it dons a bit wider 3.5-inch capacitive LCD that’s scratch-resistant. It also comes with polarization filters which aim at enhancing the UI. A 3.2MP camera is fitted to the back panel snapping up images. Along with Nokia Maps, this handset is loaded with a 15-level version of Angry Birds.

As mentioned above, the Nokia Asha 305 and Asha 311 price in India reads at Rs. 5,029 and Rs. 7,139, respectively. The former handset will be available in shades of dark grey and red with mid blue and silver white
