Social-networking websites like Orkut disable browser’s right-click menu to block users from saving images in order to maintain other users privacy, However, if you have found something really interesting in Orkut Albums and want to save it you can bypass the block easily using the following tricks.
If if you are using any web-browser other then Opera you simply need to left click the displayed image and drag-n-drop it on the browser’s address bar as shown below.
Now, you will be able right-click and save the image without any problem, add to that you can also use the image url displayed in address-bar to share that image on websites, blogs, forums or with friends without the need to log-in.
This trick should work with any website as all of them use javascript based right-click menu blocking, which can be easily bypassed as described above.

guys, i found this while sufing the net, u can increase ur surfing speed while using mozilla firefox(only) by following this procedure —>>>
1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows: (by double clicking them)
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. (I changed mine to 100, works great.)
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

Firefox users can tweak a simple browser setting to ensure any word entered into a text box gets spell checked. The Download Squad highlights a nice Firefox hack that makes this possible.
To change it do the following:
1. Open your Firefox browser, and enter about:config in the address bar. This opens up the browser’s configuration window.
2. Search for layout.spellcheckDefault in the filter box, and change the value from 1 to 2.
3. Close the configuration window.
4. Open a new window, and test the hack by entering misspelled words into a text box. Misspelled words should have a red underline, and if you right-click on the word, you’ll get a list of suggestions. Now just choose the right spelling.

Friends if you want to cahnge or edit the start button of microsoft windows. You may use the Resource hacker. It is a freeware utility to view, modify, rename, add, delete and extract resources in 32bit Windows executables and resource files (*.res) and its works on Win95, Win98, WinME, WinNT, Win2000 and WinXP operating systems.
Download Recouse Hacker
Use following step for change the start button.
First Step The first step is to make a backup copy of the file explorer.exe located at C:\Windows\explorer. Place it in a folder somewhere on your hard drive where it will be safe. Start Resource Hacker and open explorer.exe located at C:\Windows\explorer.exe
The category we are going to be using is String Table In Resource Hacker. Expand it by clicking the plus sign then navigate down to and expand string 37 followed by highlighting 1033. If you are using the Classic Layout rather than the XP Layout, use number 38. The right hand pane will display the stringtable as shown in Fig. 02. We’re going to modify item 578, currently showing the word “start” just as it displays on the current Start button. There is no magic here. Just double click on the word “start” so that it’s highlighted, making sure the quotation marks are not part of the highlight. They need to remain in place, surrounding the new text that you’ll type. Go ahead and type your new entry
Second Step – Modify the Registry Now that the modified explorer.exe has been created it’s necessary to modify the registry so the file will be recognized when the user logs on to the system. If you don’t know how to access the registry I’m not sure this article is for you, but just in case it’s a temporary memory lapse, go to Start (soon to be something else) Run and type regedit in the Open: field. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlog on the right pane (Fig. 05), double click the Shell entry to open the Edit String dialog box as shown in Fig. 06. In Value data: line, enter the name that was used to save the modified explorer.exe file. Click OK.
Close Registry Editor and either log off the system and log back in, or reboot the entire system if that’s your preference. If all went as planned you should see your new Start button with the revised text.
You can ofcource change the text of other Baloon Items , My Computer Name, Favourites and so on many more..

The latest file sharing protocol bittorrent has modified everything when it comes to file sharing. It is a nice platform for downloading large files. Sharing of files include movies, iso images and MP3 songs. Bittorent is mainly famous for illegal file sharing .The Bittorrent system can be slow at times due to heavy traffic. Here is a few tips to speed up uTorrent Client. Similar can be implemented on any other torrent clients ,which you are using.
Step 1: Increase TCP connections
You need to increase the number of TCP connections that are allowed at max.Windows XP Service Pack 2 came with the number of allowed open connections to 10. This is to stop any piece of spyware(in our case bittorent client even) from totally taking over your internet connection. TCP connection allowed should be 50 for optimal performance. The best way to increase the maximum number of connections is to apply patch that is available at www.lvllord.de. A nice way to fix this is to download this patch .
The little tweak to the torrent client works great in certain times. If you’re using uTorrent go to Options menu then Preferences. In the Preferences go the Advanced Options.
In the advanced options change the net.max_halfopen connections to 80. In the same section change the max half open tcp connections to 80. Once your done click on OK and you are all set. This tweak will let the maximum TCP connection available for the bittorrent client. Now start downloading you’ll realize a little difference in the download speed. Port forwarding technique is more effective than this.
A third point of interest is that some “windows updates” revert your tweaked tcp connections back to 10. So it’s wise to check this every now and then. You can check this by going to (in windows xp) Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > System… Look for event 4226 (sort by event).
If there are a lot of daily occurences it’s likely that the max amount of half-open tcp connections was set back to 10. Or you’re infected with some nasty spyware…
Step 2:Torrent Client Configuration
In order to apply these tips you must know your maximum up- and download speed. You can test your bandwidth over here (stop all download activity while testing).
Settings 1-4 can be found in the options, settings or preference tab of most torrent clients.
1. Maximum upload speed
Probably the most important setting there is. Your connection is (sort of) like a pipeline, if you use you maximum upload speed there’s not enough space left for the files you are downloading. So you have to cap your upload speed.
Use the following formula to determine your optimal upload speed…80% of your maximum upload speed. So if your maximum upload speed is 40 kB/s, the optimal upload rate is 32kB/s

The arrival of broadband Internet access has opened up a new playground for hackers.
“There is software available on the Net that makes it easy for hackers to probe thousands of hosts and,if file sharing is on,they will find you and compromise you”,said X-Force director chris Rouland here we discuss about how defend your computer from hackers lets go! Stop using Internet Explorer and make the switch to Firefox, it’s more secure, plain and simple. If you have the ability to change our IP address, refresh it regularly. A computer will obtain a new IP address automatically when themachine boots after a restart. Some DSL accounts have his ability. If your computer has a fixed IP, minimizeopportunities for hackers by powering down the computer when it’s not in use.
There are a variety of affodable software and hardware firewall solutions available for home computers and small businness networks or Get Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware SE and immediately update it
Check with the maker of your operating system for bulletins and patches about security issues.Download and install the system patches as they are made available
An important part of any computer security plan is the installation of an up to date Anti virus software like Norton,Trend Micro’s PC-cillin,NOD 32,McAfee’s and Avast will protect a system from viruses and Trojan horses. This is only effective if updates are installed on a regular basis.the makers of these products provide the ability to download the updates called virus signature over the internet turn off files sharing software on your computer’s operating system.Your Internet service may be able to provide you with information on how to do this.your operating system manufacture will also be able to help.
If your system has been specifically targeted and hacked you can never be 100% sure that your system is no longer compromised so start with 11, make backups of personal files on the infected system and format and re-install Windows.
Good luck!
